Viewing The Babylonian Library
**Information is power, if you know how to use it.** The Babylonian Library was built upon this foundation, dealing not in blueprints, research, or development, but in the cataloging, collection and distribution of information. The term "Librarian" is used to describe those employed at the Babylonian Library. It is not uncommon that the terms "Librarian" and "librarian" get mixed up, but also not particularly easy to do[^1]. Constantly at odds with the [[Megacorps/The Hall of Transcendence|Hall of Transcendence]]. After all, their goals are the antithesis to each other. Not rare that conflict between the two arises in the history of Dyon, and all the other [[Cities]] for that matter. ## Acquisitions The Library will dispatch Librarians from the Acquisitions department to reclaim relics and guard sites that the Library decides should not be disturbed. Almost all combat-capable Librarians are part of this department. ## Legend Extraction **This is as horrifying as it sounds.** At the exchange of the host's death, a host's Legend can be extracted and given form. It is a highly expensive technology to maintain, and the weapons and tools this process creates can have a wild variety of uses, but they almost always violate expectations of users and engineers inspecting it. The technology enabling this process is heavily guarded by the Library. [^1]: The Librarians of the Babylonian Library are specialized to deal with Old World information. Chump librarians deal with everything else. Not that the Librarians are any less interested in it, though.
