Viewing Iris Association

Iris Association is a far-reaching, loosely held together Association that specializes in surveillance, intelligence-gathering and reconnaissance. They co-operate with many [[Megacorps|corps]] and other factions, and aren't typically associated with any one group. Their intel utilities are valued so highly they see jobs across many backgrounds. These contractors are typically draped in black, white and red.

## Drones
All Iris contractors, with exceptions for agents or pen-pushers, are equipped with Iris Drone Platforms that allows them to neurally link with Iris-compatible drones. Of course, these drones are often also patented and manufactured by certified Iris workshops.

> **Note:** There are no single centralized Iris workshops. Iris outsources drone design and manufacturing from small workshops with the equipment that makes drone manufacturing possible. These contracts often set the workshops up for as long as Iris exists, enough to allow workshop operators to have nice, cushy lives, but the clauses are highly restrictive and effectively prevent an Iris workshop from ever breaking away without taking huge losses and going under immediately after.

The Drone Platform is capable of easily linking and unlinking drones, though using a drone effectively requires a lengthy period of training, so Iris contractors are leased drones that they use solely for years. Even after this period of training, a contractor continues to train their aptitude with the drone, to the degree where the drone effectively becomes a prosthesis of the user. The first times an Iris contractor's drones are destroyed can sometimes be traumatic for the contractor.
